After graduating from Leeds University, Paul started his career in banking. With a head for figures and a keen eye for detail he transferred his skills across to the recruitment sector in the year 2000.
Starting out as a key account manager with a large regional agency, Paul decided to spread his wings a few years later and started up a new agency alongside a couple of colleagues. Pauls honest and ethical approach to recruitment has helped him to develop strong links and relationships within the industry.
His colleagues at Go view him as our own Jiminy Cricket and he certainly keeps us all grounded.
With a young family taking up a most of his spare time, Paul occasionally escapes their clutches and on such occasions can usually be found either on the golf course, walking in the hills or in one of the local hostelries.
Joe’s introduction to the world of recruitment was in the summer of 93 – a time when there were pagers as opposed to mobiles and ready access to the internet was still some years away.
Yes it has changed, mostly for the better but……
Having worked within both multinational and smaller niche market recruitment businesses as well as working as an in-house recruiter – where he became a graduate member of the CIPD, Joe has experienced recruitment from both sides.
A desire to work in a business that showcased the positive side of the industry he was delighted to accept the invitation of Ed and Paul’s to set up Go.
Away from work he is trapped in a musical time warp of the post punk / indie / new wave era and he gets to as many gigs as his long-suffering wife will allow.
Edward’s career in Recruitment began back in 2003 after attaining his degree in Law from the University of Huddersfield. Starting as a trainee within the Skilled and Technical division of a regional recruitment business, he learnt his trade dealing with both SME’s and large blue chip clients within the Yorkshire region. After a successful few years, Edward spent some time overseas, working on global assignments within the Engineering and Design field, placing specialists in Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
Having returned from Australia, Edward quickly re-established himself in the UK market, using his consultative approach to ensure both clients and candidates got the service they required with an honest and straight forward manner. Becoming disillusioned with the “Wolf of Wall Street” mentality of a lot of recruitment businesses he, along with his like-mined colleagues, wanted to offer a genuine, no-nonsense approach to the industry built on long term relationships which are beneficial for all parties.
Away from the office Edward is the coach for his son’s football team, meaning most weekends are spent stood at the side of a football pitch in the rain. When he has any spare time, it is usually taken up by Rugby League – being a Bradford Bulls season ticket holder this may be seen more as a punishment – and, having taken part from a young age himself, watching Boxing.
This is Terry’s first venture into the world of recruitment.
He has over twenty years’ experience working for a major traffic management / civil engineering businesses.
Starting out as a basic labourer he rose through the ranks and has occupied roles from team leader, in-house trainer, project manager and total scheme manager.
Key to his success in his current role is his attitude that if he wouldn’t employ a potential candidate for one of his schemes then he certainly wouldn’t expect one of our clients.
Both candidates and clients benefit from his no nonsense approach and it’s seen as a refreshing change to have an individual who has genuinely “got the t-shirt” to be overseeing supply.
A keen amateur boxer in his day Terry now prefers, along with his wife to enjoy walking in the wonderful Pennine countryside that surrounds his Marsden home.
"Edward provided a diligent and high-quality service during my job hunting process. Edward is professional, reliable, honest and has a good knowledge of the oil industry. The service he provided was second to none, in that he was always prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that my queries were resolved, and that all interested parties would arrive at an agreeable solution. It is my pleasure to recommend Edward to any prospective job seeker or recruiter."
